But it’s not just the broad geographical coverage that makes the TomTom ONE special. The user-friendly design also puts it a step above other navigation systems. The crystal-clear multicolor display makes for exceptionally easy viewing of maps, routes, driving directions, and other traveling information, such as mileage and distance. Measuring 3.5 inches, the TFT display offers a resolution of 320 x 240 to provide brilliant two- and three-dimensional graphics. Customer Review: Great Product for the Price!
For 6 months I poured over all of the gps units available out there…garmin, magellan, navigon, etc. and ultimately decided to go with the TomTom as it seemed to have both the good price and the high quality of product I was searching for. I’m a frequent traveler for work and for pleasure and I thought this device would be a handy tool for navigating and finding nearby restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, etc.
I just bought the TomTom about 2 weeks ago and was able to figure out how to use it straight out of the box. It has been a very easy to use and surprisingly has more features than I originally anticipated. One feature I’ve especially liked are the itinerary planning. If I am going to say my hotel and then to a restaurant and then to a bar I can set all of those 3 points as an itinerary and it will navigate me to each one in that order without having to enter in each destination as I need to go to them.
I’ve used it in large cities and in rural areas with excellent results. Occasionally it will give you a roundabout way to get somewhere, but you’ll certainly get there.
Overall, for the price this unit simply cannot be beat.

PROS - Fairly easy to use, very compact. Saved me several times driving in unfamiliar areas - much better than a stressful interchange between girlfriend/navigator stressed driving/boyfriend.
CONS - Short battery life 2 hours(unless you plug it into your car), sometimes it can take a while for the device to read the satilites. I think it needs at least three of the nine sats. up there. In cities, sometimes hight buildings can interrupt the signal, but typically during first turning on the device.
OVERALL - Good gadget if you do a lot of driving alone in areas unfamiliar to you. Well worth the investment. Best to program your destination before you start driving as the touch screen entering can be a little tedious DURING a drive.

This bag is large enough to accommodate my Nuvi 350, the power adapter and cables for said Nuvi 350, a Cell Phone power adapter, and the Garmin friction mount! I am sure I could squeeze in a couple more small items as well.
The case is a nice and thick neoprene which should repel any rain drops and protect your gear inside.

Nice idea. It’s only two wires so it hooks up quickly and keeps you from having wires draped accross the dash and keeps the power outlet free. Using this with a Garmin 250w.
